Michelle M Ritola, ND

Hello!  I'm Dr. Michelle, a naturopathic physician licensed in both OR and WA.  I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2021 with my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.  While at NUNM, I participated in additional coursework in Integrative Mental Health, Eating Disorders, and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.  I honor each patient's journey and will take the time necessary to get to know and understand you as well as do a thorough evaluation including laboratory testing to assess for the root cause of any acute or chronic symptoms.  I offer comprehensive treatment plans that address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of my patients and collaborate with them to find the treatment that best fits their current needs and resources.  I offer botanical medicine, homeopathy, flower essence therapy, nutraceutical recommendations, lifestyle modification coaching, cranio-sacral therapy and prescription medications as necessary.

I became interested in alternatives to mainstream medicine in an attempt to alleviate distress both in myself and in my friends and family when the current standards of care were not sufficient to bring about healing.  Personally, I struggled with anxiety, depression, insomnia, fibromyalgia, and disordered eating which made it difficult or impossible for me to show up in my life in the way I would like.  Healing, for me, has been a circuitous journey as I learn more and more about what nurtures me and how to embrace the gifts of my sensitive nervous system.  I am passionate about treating people equitably, finding and treating the underlying cause of disease, and helping you bring peace into your relationships with yourself and your body as well as your relationship with food.

I'm a lifelong resident of SW WA and have recently returned to Kelso, WA after my stint in Portland, OR at NUNM.  I'm thoroughly enjoying small(er) town life and reintegrating myself into this beautiful community.  My partner and I have just moved into a charming 1942 bungalow which will provide us with all the projects we could ever need!  In my free time I enjoy taking long walks, reading, and dinners with friends.
